Satara, Nov. 26 -- Prohibitory orders have been enforced within a 300-metre radius of the tomb of Afzal Khan, located at the foothills of Pratapgarh Fort, in view of the upcoming Shiv Pratap Din celebrations.

"Partap din" celebrations are a mix of historical commemoration and political controversy at the Pratapgad Fort. The day is primarily known as Shiv Pratap Din, celebrating Shivaji Maharaj's victory over Afzal Khan in 1659.

The orders, issued by Superintendent of Police Tushar Doshi, will remain in effect from November 26 to January 24.
