Bengaluru, April 14 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday ordered a detailed investigation into the horrific incident in Hubballi, where a five-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by a man, reportedly hailing from Bihar. Addressing mediapersons, Parameshwara said the police acted swiftly, apprehending the accused, and took him to the spot where the crime was committed. "At that point, he attempted to attack the police. In self-defence, they fired at his leg and body. He was declared dead while being taken to the hospital," he told reporters here.
