Jalna (Maharashtra), June 6 -- Authorities have launched an investigation following the circulation of a viral video showing a patient lying on the floor at the district government hospital in Jalna, about 430km from Mumbai in the state's Marathwada region, due to a shortage of available beds, officials said on Friday.
The footage showed severe overcrowding and inadequate facilities at the 200-bed hospital. In the video, the patient is seen receiving intravenous fluids while lying on a mattress on the floor.
