Lucknow, Jan. 2 -- The investigation into Uttar Pradesh's high-profile Rs 1,400 crore memorial scam has once again gathered momentum.
Based on a vigilance FIR registered in 2014, authorities have intensified scrutiny of the case, which involves alleged large-scale financial irregularities in the construction of grand memorials in Lucknow and Noida.
According to a senior government official, the alleged scam took place between 2007 and 2011.
During this period, serious irregularities were reportedly committed in the procurement and supply of stone used for the memorial projects.
