New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- After a long gap of seven years, the franchise-based Pro Wrestling League is all set to be restarted in January 202.

The event was discontinued after four seasons with the COVID pandemic and goverance issues playing spoilsport for the high octane league.

This one of a kind league, blending amateur wrestling with lucrative cash prizes, will feature 9 weight categories.

Rules laid out by United World Wrestling (UWW) will be followed.

The competing athletes include Olympic medalists, World Champions, and top national wrestlers from India and over 20 countries are expected to participate.
