New Delhi, Jan. 22 -- First time since his election as new national president of BJP, J P Nadda will address a massive pro-new Citizenship law rally at Agra on Thursday.

This was announced by the saffron outfit here.

This will also mark Mr Nadda's maiden visit to Uttar Pradesh as the new party chief.

Incidentally, Mr Nadda was BJP's poll in-charge for Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha elections last year.

The BJP managed to win 62 seats - a modest drop of mere nine from the 2014 tally.

Insiders in the ruling party had suggested that Mr Nadda's elevation as new party chief succeeding Amit Shah could be also seen as a 'reward' for BJP's success in the polls last year.
