Guwahati, Feb. 18 -- Congress is set to unveil its first list of candidates for the upcoming Assam assembly elections by the end of this month, as senior leader Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to visit the state on Thursday for a two-day tour.
During her visit, Gandhi will meet with the party's screening committee to finalize candidate selections after gathering feedback from block-level functionaries, APCC president Gaurav Gogoi said in a press conference on Wednesday. In addition, she will engage with Congress workers across the state, underscoring her commitment to strengthening the party's grassroots network ahead of the elections.
