Guwahati, June 2 -- Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday expressed concern over the flood havoc in India's Northeastern states. Vadra is appealing to the state and Central government to expedite the relief and rescue operation to help the marooned people. It may be mentioned here that incessant rains for the last four days have led to severe flood situation in the northeastern states and triggered landslides in several states of the region. According to the disaster management authority in the concerned states, at least 30 people have died so far due to flood- and landslide-related incidents.
