Bengaluru, April 24 -- Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Friday raised serious concerns over the electoral process, alleging that reported instances of "on-record voting" during Phase-I polls in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal had effectively deprived lakhs of citizens of their voting rights.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Kharge questioned the integrity and accountability of the polling process, stating that such developments undermine democratic participation. "The Chief Election Commissioner is the one who has orchestrated these things. Imagine, lakhs of people who are citizens of the state, citizens of this country, have no voting power," he said.
