A doyen of the Banaras Gharana, Pandit Mishra was widely regarded for his evocative renditions steeped in the musical traditions of Kashi. Over the decades, he played a pivotal role in mentoring young artistes, nurturing the city's rich cultural legacy, and transforming his Varanasi residence into a centre of musical learning and devotion.
