New Delhi, Dec. 12 -- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood announced that the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Act, 2025, along with its corresponding Rules, has officially come into force. With this, the Education Department will now begin the process of examining school fee proposals, granting approvals, monitoring compliance, and ensuring transparent reporting from private educational institutions.
Sood criticised previous governments for neglecting the issue of arbitrary fee hikes for nearly 27 years.
