Patna, Oct. 31 -- As Bihar gears up for the first phase of Assembly elections on November 6, political focus has turned to Samastipur district, where five key constituencies Sarairanjan, Kalyanpur (SC), Samastipur, Mohiuddinagar and Morwa are set to witness closely fought contests between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Grand Alliance (GA).
This election is significant for two ministers in the Nitish Kumar government -- Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Maheshwar Hazari, both contesting from their strongholds amid rising anti-incumbency and a resurgent opposition.
