Moscow, Sept. 29 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin remains willing to host US President Donald Trump in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, despite a brief spat between Moscow and Washington amid the recent hardening of White House's rhetoric over the war in Ukraine.

"The invitation still stands," Peskov told the state news agency TASS. "Putin is ready and will be glad to meet President Trump. It will then all depend on Trump's decision."The two leaders last met in Anchorage, Alaska, in mid-August, where they described their summit as "frank" and "substantive."
