President Murmu to attend AIIMS Kalyani convocation on first visit to Kolkata

Kolkata, July 30 -- President of India Droupadi Murmu is set to visit the city today for the first time since assuming the country's highest office. She will attend the inaugural convocation ceremony of AIIMS Kalyani in Nadia district this afternoon.

As per her itinerary, the President will proceed directly to AIIMS upon arrival and deliver the convocation address.

On the following day, she will travel to Jharkhand to attend the first convocation of AIIMS Deoghar, followed by the 45th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
