Chandigarh, Oct. 29 -- President Droupadi Murmu today undertook a sortie in a Rafale fighter aircraft from the Ambala Air Force Station, marking a significant moment in her engagement with the Indian Air Force.
Wearing a flight suit, the President boarded the jet and waved to the personnel before take-off.
President Murmu arrived at the airbase around 9:15 am, where she was received by Air Chief Marshal V.R. Chaudhari. Upon arrival, she was accorded a Guard of Honour and inspected the ceremonial parade.
The President also interacted with airmen and officers, reviewing various units stationed at the base.
