Hyderabad, Dec. 17 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday arrived in Hyderabad for her annual winter sojourn at the Rashtrapati Nilayam, staying until around December 22.
Upon her arrival at the Hakimpet airport near here, she was welcomed by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti, Minister-in-Waiting for the President's visit Seethakka, Minister Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, and DGP Shivadhar Reddy.
She arrived here after offering prayers at the Golden Temple, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Police have made elaborate security arrangements in view of her visit in the city.
In view of President Draupadi Murmu's visit to the city, certain traffic restrictions were imposed at various locations.
