Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 23 -- President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated the centenary observance of Sree Narayana Guru's Mahasamadhi at the sacred Sivagiri Mutt in Varkala, calling the revered saint and social reformer a guiding light whose ideals continue to inspire generations.
Speaking at the ceremony attended by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Ministers V Sivankutty and VN Vasavan, and President of Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust Sreemath Subhamgananda Swamikal, the President paid rich tribute to the Guru's lifelong commitment to spiritual enlightenment and social transformation.
