Bhagalpur, Nov. 8 -- With several rebels in the fray and multiple family legacies at stake, Bhagalpur, slated for polling on November 11 during the second phase of the assembly elections, is all set to witness the most intriguing and unpredictable contests.

In a major political shake-up, four sitting MLAs in Bhagalpur district have been denied party tickets. Interestingly, two of them have chosen to contest as independent candidates, turning the political landscape in the region into a fierce battleground.

Bhagalpur district comprises seven Assembly constituencies including Sultanganj, Gopalpur, Bihpur, Pirpainti (Reserved), Kahalgaon, Nathnagar and Bhagalpur.
