Lucknow, March 24 -- Discussions have intensified regarding the expansion of the Yogi Adityanath government's cabinet in view of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

It is believed that MLAs from districts deprived of representation will be given opportunities in this expansion, and several new faces may become ministers for the first time.

According to sources here on Tuesday, Western Uttar Pradesh will be on focus of the cabinet expansion this time. The BJP organisation and the government''s strategy is to provide representation to districts that currently have no ministers.

A senior BJP official said, "Currently, six positions in the cabinet are vacant. Districts like Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Amroha,...
