Nashik, May 23 -- Preparations for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Nashik are in full swing and since the city will witness a massive rush of devotees, planning is underway to create various facilities and set up a security network, said deputy chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council Neelam Gorhe at a press conference on Friday.

Gorhe arrived at the Revenue Commissioner's office here to review the safety, cleanliness and other issues concerning women and children during the Kumbh Mela.

Revenue commissioner Dr Praveen Gedam and officials from various departments attended the briefing.
