Nashik, Feb. 7 -- Due to ongoing road repairs in preparation for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, Nashik is facing significant traffic disruptions. Diversions, narrowed roads, and insufficient information are leading to daily traffic jams and an increase in instances of undisciplined driving.
Against this backdrop, Nashik residents have started effectively using a WhatsApp helpline to directly contact the police, with the majority of complaints related to traffic. Photos and videos of traffic congestion, rash driving, unruly auto-rickshaw drivers, and vehicles violating traffic rules are being sent directly to the police.
