Lucknow, Sept. 24 -- India A fast bowler Prasidh Krishna sustained a head injury during the second match against Australia A today, and was subsequently replaced by Yash Thakur as a concussion substitute for the remainder of the match.
The incident occurred on the second day of the contest, raising concerns ahead of the upcoming Test series against West Indies.
Krishna was struck on the helmet by Australia A pacer Henry Thornton in the 39th over of India A's innings while attempting to pull a bouncer.
Following the blow, Krishna underwent the mandatory concussion assessment and initially continued his innings. However, after the 42nd over, he walked back to the dressing room and was replaced at the crease by Mohammed Siraj.
