Jehanabad, Jan. 16 -- Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Friday demanded a fresh and impartial investigation into the recent suspicious death of a girl at a girls' hostel in Patna.
After meeting the victim's family in Jehanabad, Kishor said serious questions have emerged over the police handling of the case following the post-mortem report, which has raised the possibility of abuse. He said the police are portraying the incident as a case of suicide, while the victim's family has alleged sexual assault. According to him, the post-mortem findings do not rule out the possibility of rape, making a re-investigation imperative.
