Pranati bags vault bronze at Asian Gymnastics
Jecheon (South Korea), June 14 -- India's Pranati Nayak scripted history once again by clinching the bronze medal in the women's vault at the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2025 here on Saturday, further cementing her legacy as the most decorated Indian gymnast in the continental meet's history.
The 30-year-old Olympian, competing at the Jecheon Gymnasium, logged a combined score of 13.466 to place third behind China's Zhang Yihan and Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu.
Nayak, who had qualified for the final after placing fourth in the preliminary round with a 13.083, began strongly in the medal round with a 13.666 on her first vault. However, a slightly underwhelming second attempt of 12.866 saw her settle for bronze.
