Lucknow, July 23 -- Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Pramod Tiwari, has sharply criticised the BJP-led government over the abrupt resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, calling it a "serious and shocking matter" for the nation.
Terming the development as "extremely sad and unfortunate," Tiwari in a statement here this evening alleged that the BJP has repeatedly shown disregard for constitutional positions.
Tiwari accused the ruling party of habitually and deliberately undermining key constitutional offices.
