Moscow, June 4 -- The Czech Defense Ministry approved an agreement to extend the lease of 12 Swedish JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets until 2035, Czech media reported, citing the ministry.
The board of the Czech Defense Ministry approved an agreement to extend the lease of JAS-39 Gripen fighters until 2035 for 16.6 billion Czech koruny ($758 million), the Novinky news portal reported on Tuesday, adding that the current lease is scheduled to end in 2027.
The F-35 fighter jets purchased in the United States are scheduled to arrive in the Czech Republic by 2035, the report added.
