Hingoli, Dec. 19 -- A day after resigning as a Congress MLC and joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Pradnya Satav, today clarified that her decision was motivated solely by the goal of development.
Despite her political move, Ms Satav emphasized that Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi continue to be her ideals. "They will always remain my idols," she said.
Pradnya Satav, wife of late Congress leader Rajiv Satav, who was considered a close associate of Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, formally joined the BJP on Thursday.
The induction took place in the presence of Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan and state Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
