Hyderabad, Aug. 17 -- Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state vice-president Dr N V S S Prabhakar on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), calling his remarks "insulting to India itself."

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office in Nampally, Prabhakar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Independence Day address, had acknowledged the services of the RSS, while Rahul Gandhi chose to ridicule them without understanding history.
