Hyderabad, May 16 -- The power demand in the state is expected to increase to 18,138 MW in 2025-26, as against 17,162 MW this year.

The Officials of the Energy Department, while briefing Chief Minister A. Revetha Reddy, during a review meeting of the Energy sector here, said that compared to last year, the power demand has increased by 9.8 percent.

It is estimated that the energy demand will increase to 18,138 MW in 2025 - 2026, and it will be 31,808 MW by 2034 - 2035, the officials informed.

The officials explained to the Chief Minister that quality power is being provided without any interruption.
