Mirzapur (UP), Sept. 18 -- A postal department employee was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 20,000 by a local court for murdering his sister-in-law, niece and nephew about four years ago for obtaining a government job in Mirzapur district here in Uttar Pradesh.
According to prosecution sources, Yagnanarayan, a resident of Daghar locality in the Katra Kotwali police station area, murdered his younger brother Ramnarayan's wife Renu, her daughter Harshita and son Aarush on November 20, 2021.
"The reason for the triple murder was stated to be a dispute over obtaining a job under the deceased quota," sources said.
