Dharamshala, Oct. 15 -- To promote women's health and empowerment, the Indian Postal Department has launched a special campaign titled "Nari Suraksha Cancer Cover" from October 15 to 18, 2025.

Ravindra Kumar Sharma, Superintendent, Post Office, Dharamshala, informed that the campaign aims to create awareness about the Nari Suraksha Cancer Cover Plan, operated by Royal Sundaram General Insurance Corporation Limited, exclusively for women customers.

He said the plan offers a fixed health insurance cover of up to Rs. 1 lakh for cancers defined by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

The scheme is available at an annual premium of Rs. 449 for women aged 18-45 and Rs. 670 for those aged 46-50.
