Kolkata, May 10 -- Fresh allegations of "post-poll violence" surfaced in West Bengal on Sunday as Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee accused BJP-backed miscreants of torching more than 60 shops at Hijli Sharif in Khejuri's Nichkasba gram panchayat area under East Midnapore district.
Sharing a video of the alleged arson attack on his X handle, Banerjee alleged that shops belonging to both Hindus and Muslims were set ablaze, leaving several families devastated overnight.
