New Delhi, Nov. 29 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met with party president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday to conduct a critical review of the political aftermath following the significant setback in the Bihar assembly elections.

The high-level meeting, which included Congress Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru and state party chief Rajesh Ram, was convened to dissect the core reasons for the party's dismal performance in the state.

The meeting followed earlier separate, intensive sessions where Gandhi and Kharge interacted with Bihar leaders and all contesting candidates at Indira Bhawan. These batch-wise discussions were aimed at gathering direct insights into the factors that led to the party's rout at the polls.
