Srinagar, May 21 -- The ruling National Conference's Working Committee on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming its steadfast commitment to the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's special status - that was scrapped by the Narendra Modi government in August 2019. The Working Committee meeting, chaired by NC president Farooq Abdullah, was held at the party headquarters. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is the party's vice president, was also present. The reaffirmation of commitment to Special Status was one of the seven resolutions that was passed by the Working Committee of the party.
