Srinagar, Sept. 28 -- Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said post COVID-19 care is presently not focus in India because the country is still struggling to control the spread of the virus.

However, he said awareness around post COVID care is crucial.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, the vice-president of the National Conference (NC) said, "Awareness around post-Covid care is crucial, but its not the focus in India because the country is still struggling to control the spread of the virus. Why India needs to worry about post-Covid care".

He was responding to a report which quotes experts that India needs more post COVID care centres as many patients are reporting lasting symptoms.
