Chandigarh, March 24 -- In a significant administrative realignment, the Punjab Government has redistributed the portfolios previously held by Laljit Singh Bhullar following his removal from the state cabinet.
The reshuffle, aimed at streamlining governance, sees the crucial Transport Department being handed over to Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, while the Jail Department has been assigned to Dr. Ravjot.
Dr. Ravjot, who was previously overseeing the NRI Affairs department, will now take charge of the state's correctional facilities.
