Hyderabad, June 28 -- Popular Telugu news anchor Swetcha Votarkar (40) allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Chikkadapalli on Friday night.
According to Chikkadapalli police, she was found hanging from a ceiling fan around 1030 hours.
Swetcha, who had been living with her daughter following a divorce five years ago, is suspected to have taken the extreme step due to personal reasons.
Police have registered a case and are investigating based on a complaint filed by her mother, Sridevi.
Her body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
