Hyderabad, Dec. 5 -- Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Friday launched a sharp counterattack on BRS working president K T Rama Rao's remarks on the State's HILT policy, accusing the previous government of carrying out large-scale land conversions and auctions during its tenure.

Speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat, Ponguleti said the BRS had no credibility to question the policy when several provisions now being criticised were introduced under its own rule. "Two items now being debated in the HILT policy originated during the BRS regime. Did KTR not sign those files as minister?" he asked.
