Chennai, Sept. 17 -- The Pondicherry University hosted the traditional Organic FarmersFestival 2.0 to boost Sustainable Farming.

A PIB release said the Pondicherry University, the Puducherry Natural Organic Farmersand Local Farmers Cooperative Society (PNOFLFCS), and the Association for PromotingSustainability in Campuses and Communities (APSCC) jointly organized the festival.

The festival was aimed at promoting organic farming practices across 50% of Puducherryand nearby Tamil Nadu by 2030.

The event brought together over 600 participants, including students, farmers, researchers,entrepreneurs, institutions, and policymakers, with the shared mission of strengtheningorganic traditions in the union Territory of Puducherry.
