Puducherry, April 13 -- As many as 418 more persons tested positive for Coronavirus Disease (COVID 19) and three died in the last 24 hours ending at 10 AM on Tuesday taking the tally of infection to 44973 and death to 696 in the union territory.
Two deaths were reported in the Puducherry region and one in Karaikal region.
According to the Covid 19 status for Tuesday released by the health department,of the 5050 swab tests taken yesterday,418 tested positive for the virus.255 new cases were reported in Puducherry region,109 in Karaikal,19 in Yanam and 35 in Mahe region.209 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.183 of them were from Puducherry region,22 from Karaikal,one from Yanam and three from Mahe region.
