Puducherry, April 9 -- In a novel initiative to woo the electorate, all the voters entering the polling booth at the V O C school in Raj Bhavan constituency in Puducherry were received by a Robot by giving roses.
Voters are in for a pleasant surprise as the robot, dressed like a girl, carrying a tray with rose flowers welcomed them and presented the flowers.
The VOC booth was set up as an Unique booth and instead of Shamiyana, the pandal to enable the voters to wait till their turn comes for casting their ballot, was made with palm leaves giving much relief from the oppressive heat wave prevailing in Puducherry.
