Puducherry, Feb. 14 -- Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy has urged the union government to provide additional funds for the development of union territory.

'Mr Narayanasamy met union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Thursday and put up this demand,' an official statement released today said. He pointed out a research report of the central finance institution on the formula adopted for union territories with legislature for financial support and said that under the formula Puducherry should have received Rs 2,731 crore for 2019-20.
