New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday told the Delhi Assembly that environmental protection is not a political issue but a shared responsibility of every citizen and family. She said the government believes in responsibility and concrete action, not in blame games.
Speaking on pollution in the capital, the Chief Minister said her government does not shift responsibility by blaming the Opposition or neighbouring states. She accused the previous government of taking symbolic and temporary steps on pollution and misleading people through media optics instead of working on permanent solutions.
