Aizawl, March 11 -- Polling teams tasked with overseeing elections in 88 village councils (VCs) under the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) departed from Lawngtlai town on Tuesday.
The polling officials are expected to reach their designated stations by the end of the day to conduct voting scheduled for Wednesday.
State Election Commissioner H. Lalthlangliana stated that each polling team comprises a returning officer, a presiding officer, and two polling officers. Voting will commence at 7 AM and conclude at 4 PM on Wednesday, followed by the counting of votes from 5 PM. Results will be announced immediately after counting at each polling station.
