Ranchi, Nov. 11 -- Voting began at 7 a.m. on Tuesday for the Ghatshila Assembly by-election (Scheduled Tribe reserved seat) in Jharkhand amid tight security arrangements.
The polling, which will continue till 5 p.m., is witnessing an enthusiastic turnout from voters across both rural and urban areas.
Before polling commenced, the mock poll procedure was successfully conducted at all 300 polling stations to ensure the smooth functioning of the voting machines. As voting began, long queues of voters were seen at polling booths, reflecting strong public participation and enthusiasm.
