Patna, Sept. 8 -- CPI General Secretary D Raja today alleged that BJP government at the Centre had instigated Election Commission for " vote theft " in Bihar, depriving a large number of people from their voting rights.

Raja while addressing the inaugural session of five day state conference of the party here, said that Election Commission had committed vote theft in the name of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in electoral rolls in Bihar.

A large number of people including poor, oppressed and oppressed had lost their voting rights due to irregularities committed during SIR in Bihar, as their names were omitted from the electoral rolls, he added.
