Aizawl, Aug. 17 -- Mizoram's political landscape has witnessed another shift as V. Zirsanga of the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) resigned from his position as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), leading to a new appointment in a politically unstable situation.
The resignation came just hours before a scheduled floor test that could have decided the fate of his leadership.
In a swift move, the Mizoram Governor, Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh, approved the appointment of BJP leader N. Zangura as the new CEM on August 14, following Zirsanga's resignation.
