Shimla, Sept. 3 -- A fresh political tussle has erupted in Himachal Pradesh after ten Congress MLAs submitted a notice of breach of privilege against BJP MLA from Dharamshala, Sudhir Sharma.
The notice was addressed to Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, accusing Sharma of violating the dignity of the House by making his privilege motion against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu public on social media.
In their letter, the Congress legislators alleged that by circulating the notice on social media platforms, Sudhir Sharma "maligned the image of the Chief Minister and undermined the constitutional status of the Speaker."They urged the Speaker to refer the matter to the Privilege Committee for further action.
