Shimla, July 30 -- The cloudburst-hit Horticulture College in Thunag, Seraj Assembly constituency, has become the epicentre of a major political tussle between Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur.
The shifting of the college to Nachan has sparked a political and emotional storm, with students and parents caught in the crossfire.
Addressing a press conference in Shimla today, parents and students said the relocation was based on safety concerns.
Rajendra Pal, representing the group, said that over 100 students had earlier met Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, demanding the shift, citing recurring natural disasters.
