Chandigarh, Dec. 27 -- A fresh political controversy has surfaced in Punjab after a video clip, purportedly linked to a survey on a possible alliance between the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the BJP, went viral on social media.

The clip claims that voters are being contacted over phone calls and asked questions about their support for an SAD-BJP tie-up and their voting preference in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

The alleged survey has emerged at a time when speculation around a revival of the SAD-BJP alliance is gaining momentum ahead of the next Assembly polls.
